WHAT CLOTHES SHOULD I BRING ?
Your clothes are likely to suffer wear and tear and possibly get wet and dirty, therefore it’s advisable to
bring enough spare clothes. We have found from experience that a good idea is to bring 2 sets of hiking
clothes and 1 set of clean clothes for travelling home.
Good items of clothing to bring are sports tops and tracksuits, leggings, fleece etc. Cotton, especially
jeans are unsuitable as they get heavy and cold when wet, and also dry out very slowly.
You should also bring suitable footwear, hiking boots are good, but solid runners with laces that you can
tighten, also work quite well.
With the Irish weather, a good rain proof jacket and if possible rain proof trousers should be brought.
DO I NEED ANYTHING ELSE ?
You will need a sleeping bag, towel and wash kit, small rucksack and torch. Also don’t forget lunch for
