In our School we hope to fulfil these aims:
- By enabling our pupils to broaden their educational horizons through providing opportunities to study new areas unavailable to them in Junior Cycle.
- By building on the basic skills of literacy, numeracy and oracy developed in the Junior Cycle years and by developing technical skills.
- By developing other approaches to learning e.g. Discovery methods, contractual learning, providing opportunities for the constructive use of leisure time, etc.
- By providing opportunities for developing creativity in a variety of areas
- By furthering self-development through helping our pupils to identify their own strengths, weaknesses, ambitions and limitations.
- By helping pupils develop relational skills.
- By providing our pupils with opportunities to do volunteer work in the local community.
- By preparing pupils for entry into the world of work.
